BreathMan, Lac de Saint-Ferréol

Diving into crystal-clear waters 🏊‍♂️ of a mountain lake, hopping on your bike 🚴‍♂️ to tackle breathtaking climbs, and topping it off with a trail run 🏃‍♂️ through a beautiful forest 🌳—that’s all waiting for you at the BreathMan, a triathlon set in the Montagnes Noires, in Haute-Garonne! Whether you’re a seasoned triathlete or a beginner chasing a personal best, this race is for you 🫵. The organizers have included something for every triathlon lover! 💌 So, a wide range of distances are on offer: an Ironman 70.3, an XS, an S and an M, plus club challenges, a SwimRun and a orienteering race 🧭, as well as kid races 👦. You’re sure to find fins to your feet! All courses are available solo, in pairs or relay (except the S Competition) 🤠. This year, a Aquathlon XXS relay is offered for clubs! 🤝

Nestled in the heart of Occitanie, Revel is a small town with authentic charm 🤌, surrounded by the Montagnes Noires and just beside Lake Saint-Ferréol. This lake, classified as a historic site and created in the XVIIth century to feed the Canal du Midi, serves as a backdrop for the swimming 🏊‍♀️ and running portions. The organizers have catered to as many people as possible, with numerous distances on offer for experienced triathletes or beginners 🏅. The bike routes take you through the Montagnes Noires ⛰️, with winding roads and ascents that challenge your legs, but also fast descents and breathtaking scenery 😮‍💨. You’ll give it your all on the climb of the Croix de Montalric 📈 between Sorèze and Arfons, taken on by the Tour de France during the Muret-Carcassonne stage in 2025 🤯. You’ll be timed on this section ⏱️, so we hope the wind is at your back! 💨 The running takes place on forest trails 🌲 and tree-lined paths. The mild, sunny June weather 🌞 will even accompany you after the race for the pasta party and the festive and musical atmosphere from the BreathMan! 🎺

Once you cross the finish line or before the race, you’ll of course want to enjoy Revel and its surroundings. Occitanie and Haute-Garonne are brimming with natural and cultural treasures worth a visit 😍. Of course you can again experience the Lac de Saint-Ferréol, which was for over 200 years the largest dam in Europe 🌏. History lovers will enjoy exploring the Canal du Midi, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site 😉. If your legs feel heavy or you simply want to rest, stay in Revel and soak up all the culture.
