Compnet UK Championship 2026

We are excited to continue the epic 2026 season of the CompNet Jiu-Jitsu League with the CompNet UK Championship!

This premier regional event brings together Gracie Barra athletes from across the UK to test their skills, represent their schools, and earn valuable points toward the CompNet Global Rankings. Competitors of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in both Gi and No-Gi divisions, creating an exciting day of competition, sportsmanship, and team spirit.

Important Updates for 2026

Please take a moment to review the competition format, policies, and event rules before registering.

Competition Format

Kids Divisions

* Round-robin format to maximise match experience and mat time.

* If only two competitors are registered in a division, a best of 3 format will be used.

Adult & Master Divisions

White belts * Round-robin format to maximise match experience and mat time.

Blue, Purple, brown and black belts:

* Single-elimination bracket format with double bronze medals, awarding two third-place.

Absolute Divisions

* Adult competitors may enter the Absolute Division for additional matches.

* Registration for Absolute Divisions can be completed during online registration before the event or on the day of the tournament 2h before absolutes starts

* Absolute Divisions are open to Adults competitors only.

*To enter the absolute, you must also be registered in your corresponding division (by belt and weight). The absolute is an additional category and cannot be entered on its own.

* We do not offer partial refunds or the removal of individual categories once payment has been made. This applies to both division and absolute registrations.

Awards & Ranking Points

Athletes placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will receive medals and earn points toward the CompNet Global Ranking System.

Division Merge

To ensure the best possible competition experience, divisions with fewer than three competitors may be merged after the registration deadline. Competitors may be moved to another division based on weight, rank, and/or age category unless they specifically state in the Payment Information section during registration that they do not wish to be moved.

If, after combining categories, it is still not possible to provide a match, the athlete will receive a coupon code to be used toward a future CompNet event instead.

The tournament organiser will make every effort to create fair and competitive matches for all athletes.

Age Policy

Kids Division | Age is determined by the athlete's age on the day of the event.

Juvenile Division | Age is determined by the athlete's year of birth

Adult Division | Age is determined by the athlete's year of birth.

* Athletes turning 18 years old or older during the competition day must compete in the Adult Division.

Coach Pass

Each academy will receive complimentary coach passes based on the number of registered competitors:

1 Coach Pass | 1 to 3 competitors

2 Coach Passes | 4 to 6 competitors

3 Coach Passes | 7 or more competitors

* Coach passes provide free entry to the event only.

* Coaches supporting Kids and Juvenile athletes will be permitted mat-side access.

* For adult and Master divisions, mat-side coaching will not be permitted. Coaches and spectators must remain in the designated spectator areas.

Team Championship

The CompNet UK Championship also provides an opportunity for Gracie Barra schools across the UK to compete for prestigious team awards.

The Top 3 Academies will be recognised, with trophies awarded to the highest-performing schools.

Adults

* Regular Registration: £70 (available until the Regular Registration Deadline)

Competitors may receive 100% event credit toward a future CompNet tournament
