Whitebelt-Only BJJ Tournament

In the regular weight divisions, matches will mainly be held in a round-robin format, depending on the number of participants, in order to give athletes multiple matches and real competition experience.

For larger divisions, a knockout system may be used. The final decision regarding the competition format lies with the organizer.

No-Gi Open Class

The No-Gi Open Trial is a separate highlight of the event and will be held in a knockout format.

It is designed for athletes who want to take on an additional open challenge.

The No-Gi Open Trial will only take place if at least 6 competitors per division are registered.

Event Schedule – September 19, 2026

Doors open: 08:00 Weigh in start: 08:00 First matches: 09:00

Registration is only possible via Smoothcomp.

There will be no late registrations on the event day.

Spectator Admission

Spectator entry: 7 €

Free entry for:

1 coach per team

Children under 12 years

The ticket is valid for the entire event day.

Weigh-In

Competitors must weigh in at least 1 hour before their first match.

The weigh-in will take place without Gi, wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

Weight tolerance: +500 g

If a competitor exceeds the allowed weight including the tolerance, they will be disqualified immediately.

Changing to another weight class is not possible for organizational reasons.

Every competitor must appear personally at the weigh-in, including ultra-heavyweight athletes.

Men

–56 kg –62 kg –69 kg –77 kg –85 kg –94 kg –105 kg +105 kg

Women

–49 kg –55 kg –62 kg –70 kg –80 kg +80 kg

Weight classes may be merged if there are not enough competitors in a division. The final decision lies solely with the organizer.

Youth Division

There will also be a Youth Division.

The Youth Division is open to athletes born in 2009 or 2010.

This means that athletes who turn 16 or 17 during the calendar year 2026 are eligible to compete in the Youth Division.

Athletes born in 2008 or earlier are not eligible for the Youth Division and must register in the Adult division.

Athletes born in 2011 or later are not eligible to compete.

Youth competitors may only participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

The registration of underage athletes must be completed by a parent/legal guardian or with their explicit consent, which is confirmed during the digital registration process.

Depending on the number of participants, youth divisions may be separated by weight and/or gender. If there are not enough participants, divisions may be merged where appropriate and safe.

The final decision lies solely with the organizer.

Match Time & Rules

All matches will follow the IBJJF ruleset, but without advantages.

Regular Gi & No-Gi matches: 5 minutes

If the match is tied after the regular match time, the referee will decide the winner.

No-Gi Open Trial

If a No-Gi Open Trial match is tied after the regular match time, the match will continue with Golden Score.

The match ends as soon as the first point is scored or a submission occurs.

Match times are dynamic. Please check the brackets regularly and refresh the page, as match times may change during the event.

Eligibility & Anti-Sandbagging

This is a whitebelt-only tournament.

Eligible divisions:

Adults Masters Youth Division

Sandbagging is strictly prohibited.

Athletes with more than three years of serious and regular training or competition experience in grappling sports, such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, MMA or comparable disciplines, are not eligible to compete.

High-level wrestlers, Judo black belts or athletes with a comparable skill level are also excluded from participation, even if they formally hold a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The organizer reserves the right to disqualify athletes before or during the tournament if there is reasonable suspicion of sandbagging.

In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the registration fee.

Liability & Participation Conditions

Participation is voluntary and at the competitor’s own risk.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport with an increased risk of injury.

By registering, all competitors confirm that they:

are eligible for their registered age division, are physically and medically able to participate in the competition, have valid health insurance that also covers participation in competitions.

For underage athletes, registration must be completed by a parent/legal guardian or with their explicit consent.

The organizer does not provide additional insurance for competitors.

To the extent permitted by law, the organizer’s liability is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence.

Photo, Video & Data Protection

Photos and videos will be taken during the event.

By registering, participants agree that this material may be used by the organizer for documentation, reporting, marketing and social media purposes.

Personal data will only be processed for the purpose of organizing and running the event.
