Marathon Côte d'Amour Amarris

Today is a big day for you 🎇 as you discover the first edition of the Marathon Côte d'Amour Amarris ! ❤️ And this is where you’ll be able to go fish for information! It’s a very special event that’s just been created. It takes place in the Pays de la Loire, in the seaside town of La Baule-Escoublacwhere 4 races will come to life 🙋‍♀️. On the program: a marathon. Yes indeed, what could be better than a good, long distance of 42 km ? 🕵️‍♀️ To accompany it, you have a 42 km relay because the more the merrier! You can guess there is no marathon without a half-marathon. So a 21 km is also planned! If you’re not into gnawing on kilometers as a snack 🍩, you can opt for two other distances: the 10 km or the 5 km 💪.

Regardless of the race you choose, this inaugural edition will let you discover a coastline of the Atlantic coast that’s just stunning 🏄‍♀️. With its landscapes full of originality, the race has more than one trick up its sleeve. It’s not just the bay of La Baule and its beautiful fine-sand beaches you’ll see... 🏖️ These are also the secrets hidden by the lands of the region! Among them, you can’t miss the salt marshes of the Guérande peninsula 🗾 (if you were wondering where that famous salt comes from, there’s your answer 🧂). The paths crossing this area are absolutely fabulous. Nature puts on a color show 🎨. Another spot you’ll see along the way: the medieval city 🏰. Maybe a chance for you to reconnect with your prince/princess dreams! 👸 In any case, it’s no accident that Guérande is a town of art and history! 📚 Its citadel, nicknamed "Carcassonne of the West", guards many architecturally fortified buildings to visit! Among them: the Collégiale Saint-Aubin, the Chapelle Notre-Dame-la-Blanche or Chapelle-Saint-Jean ⛪. Not enough for you? No problem, we keep going with the wild coast of Croisic. A nature that, as stated, is wild! 🌊 Its coastline features both coves and sheer cliffs! 🌄 If you manage to reach the end of this path (lol), you’ll come face to face with the Port of Croisic ⛵. An authentic fishermen’s haven that’ll surely tempt you to indulge in a seafood feast! 🦀 There, pink shrimp is a specialty, they call it "bouquet of the Croisic" 🦐. Your race will finish in style (before returning to La Baule, of course) in the town of Batz-sur-Mer. This little village between sea and marsh will be the cherry on top! 😋
