Le semi-marathon et le 5 km 100 % Pure Kona Coffee offrent une expérience de course au lever du soleil le long de l'emblématique Ali'i Drive, à Hawaï, avec départ et arrivée au Coconut Grove Marketplace à Kailua-Kona. Le parcours aller-retour du semi-marathon longe la côte jusqu'au littoral rocheux de lave de la « Fin du monde », connu localement sous le nom de « Pit », offrant une vue imprenable sur l'océan et un profil vallonné. Avec des points de ravitaillement tous les 2,5 km et un parcours en boucle, les coureurs sont bien pris en charge. Après la course, les participants célèbrent leur exploit avec du café Kona frais et une ambiance insulaire décontractée, avec des danseurs de hula et le lever du soleil sur la côte en toile de fond.
