Today, we’re offering this format in the beautiful country of Senegal 🇸🇳. Head south for the Kadiouk Trail Casamanca 🏃. If you’re wondering what to do in late November to early December, we’re always here to inspire you! 💡 It's worth noting that it’s still hot there 🥵. So, gear up with SPF 50 sunscreen to avoid burning, bring your favorite sunglasses 🕶️, your go-to trail shoes, and embark on an unrivaled adventure ✈️.

The Kadiouk Trail Casamanca, is the 8th not-so-little one in the Exaequo Voyages family. It’s about the organizers of the Kimbia Kenya, the Cabo Verde Ribeira Trail or the Norway Fjord Trail (among others). After a quick stop in Dakar for the night 🌙, you’ll discover Ziguinchor and its palm trees 🌴, the regional capital, then the small village 🏘️ of Koubalang. This is where your journey really begins. Two distances are on offer: a 60 km, with 10 km to be run each day for 5 days. For the more seasoned, an extended effort over 6 days and 120 km, that’s 20 km per day. No time to mess around! 😜

Stage 1 takes you through scrubland before reaching the village of Agnack. The second day, you run among giant baobabs and endless rice fields 😎. The highlight is arriving at the edge of the Casamance River, a stunning spot where you might sometimes spot some manatees if luck is on your side 🦭. Hold on for the third stage at the Pointe Saint-George: The next day will take you to the Île de Niomoune. It’s the wild heart of the raid, where you truly feel away from it all 🛖. Stage 5 : Hitou. It’s the "ends of the earth" stage. After a boat transfer 🚣, you’ll set off on a unique route after an immersion in this village with animist traditions 🌱. You’ll then join Cachouane, where you’ll rest your eyelids 👁️. From the calm of Cachouane you’ll head by tuk-tuk to the bustle of Djembering for the 6th and final stage. The end of the route is along the vast Cap Skirring beach 🏝️. During your run, take time to open your eyes 👀 and enjoy the postcard-worthy landscapes this beautiful country has to offer 🎁. You’ll pass rice fields, beaches, mangroves, baobabs, or even “fromagers.” Quick note ⚠️: don’t expect to find a Camembert 🧀 in the middle of nowhere… The fromager is a giant tree 🌳 that can reach 40 m tall! On the other hand, you won’t be alone: expect spectators. Village children will surely come to cheer you on. A true running star 😎.
