If you regularly run in Lyon, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, you’ve surely seen these joggers wearing a pink tee 👚. It’s the go-to outfit for participants of the charity run Courir POUR ELLES ! Before it’s a race, Courir POUR ELLES is first and foremost a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting cancers affecting women 🚺. Courir POUR ELLES is more than just a race; it’s an opportunity to share a moment around common values of solidarity, of sharing and of kindness 🤝, in a friendly atmosphere that’s welcoming, where laughter and fun are part of the rhythm 😁.

During these events, the women are celebrated, whether they’re fighters battling cancer, the loved ones who support them, or the men AND women who want to show their support 🙌. Indeed, the Sunday race is 100% feminine (GIRL POWER 👊🏼), it’s your intimate, judgment-free moment 🚫. Men, for their part, can Courir POUR ELLES on Friday and Saturday, where races are mixed, but also in formats connected! 🥰 Through sport, this fabulous race shows that even in the face of illness you can still believe, dare, and move forward 💪. It’s also the chance to push yourself beyond, to know you aren’t alone and to share a unique moment with the many women who’ve come for the occasion 🏃‍♀️.

The formats offered are as follows :

1st format : Sunday, June 7 at Grand Parc Miribel-Jonage to share a special moment with all the other runners and association members. A non-timed 10 km non-timed 😎 as well as a non-timed 5 km, a walk of 5 km 🚶🏻‍♀️and a 2.5 km. If in May, we do what we love, we’re sure the blazing warm-up 💃, the various stands and the amazing ambiance 🎉 will please you. The warmth will likely be there to proudly show off your pink shirt 👚. It’s a 100% feminine challenge, go on, boys, make way for the Vague Rose! 💁🏼‍♀️ This year, companies 👨‍💼 will be invited to run on Friday, June 5 and the whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 (Gentlemen, you’re welcome), on Saturday, June 6! The defense of the cause knows no gender, so it’s essential to mobilize together! 💓.

2nd format : Connected format 🤳 from mid-May to June 7 across France 🇫🇷 and abroad 🌎. As said, this year Courir POUR ELLES has planned for as many people as possible to participate in this event 👫. You can choose among the same distances, 5 km and 10 km in the walk or run 🚶🏻‍♀️. And by the way, why connected 📲? You don’t need to follow a set course, you can run wherever you want, whenever you want, and if you connect, during your race you’ll receive motivational audio messages from the association to support you, even remotely 😎. Yes, you boys 💁‍♂️ can also take part in this format, you see the organizers are quite accommodating 😉.

You can register for any of these formats solo or as a group, because as mentioned, it’s primarily a way to reunite and share a sporting and unique 😍.

It’s still in the heart of Lyon 🍽️ where this beautiful event takes place 📍. You’ll have the chance to taste the famous bouchons lyonnais 🤤, with a good terrine to start, the renowned quenelle of Lyon as a hot dish and to finish with the classic praline tart a tarte à la praline, also pink 😋.

For a perfect weekend, we suggest heading up to the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière ⛪ to soak in the breathtaking view and stroll through the Vieux Lyon and its charming alleys 🤩.
