In March, Paphos hosts the TUI Cyprus Marathon, also known as the Cyprus Marathon, on a paradisiacal island and a Mediterranean coastline conducive to exertion. Five races are offered: marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km Sunset Run and Wine Run, with temperatures around 8–18°C. The route, in town and on the road, features a 220 m D+ elevation and a tourist ambiance between historic sites and shining beaches.

The best episode of the series takes place in March in the city of Pafos and is named TUI Cyprus Marathon, also called Cyprus Marathon! 🏃♀️ If you’re up for a marathon on a paradisiacal island
We know you’re a curious one, so here’s a bit more about these famous courses leaving from the Fort of Paphos 🗺️... Well, almost all of them! The crown jewel of the Cyprus Marathon (the marathon, of course 😅) isn’t a loop, but truly city-to-city! ➡️ You’ll start at the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty 🥰. No wonder you’ll fall in love with running all over again once the start is given! Legends say if you swim at midnight near the cliffs of Pétra Tou Romioù, you’ll experience eternal love! 💞 Of course, it’s all a legend. Our mission is for you to sign up for the Cyprus Marathon and have the best moment in the world 🌎. Finding true love is a bonus! 😝 Just kidding, but we’ll revisit this once you’ve tried it! 💪 All course routes hug the coastline, a chance to lose yourself in the blue of the sea eyes 🌊. Imagine inhaling the fresh air and enjoying this rolling course as you try to beat your new PR! 🕞 Still, beware of the 220 mD+ of the marathon that could steal some calf muscles 😬. It will be much easier to claw back minutes on the semi, the 10 km, and the 5 km which are straight, flat out-and-backs! 🤩 Yes, we still try to charm you 😂. By the way, if you see planes passing overhead, it isn’t a private jet coming to your rescue... No, you’ll simply be near one of the three airports in Cyprus 🛬.
During your stay, you’ll have the chance to visit stunning places! 🏘️ Among our favourites are the Archaeological Park of Paphos, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the medieval fortress 🗿, the Agios Neophytos Monastery and of course, the bay where Aphrodite was born! With all that, you’ll also enjoy the stunning scenery offered by beaches and blue water. At the end of your marathon, you’ll only want one thing: a swim! 🏊♀️ Don’t forget to extend your trip until Tuesday to enjoy the wine Run! 🍇. This race takes place in the village of Letymbou and invites you to discover the Cypriot terroir by savoring local cuisine and country wines! 😋
