Lace up your sneakers for an event that goes far beyond the borders of Val-de-Marne! ✈️ The Vivicittà, is your chance to run for peace and international solidarity, in the heart of Vitry-sur-Seine, in the Île-de-France region 🇫🇷. For this 10th edition taking place over two days in April, the event rests on a strong story 💪. This concept started in 1983, spearheaded by the Union Italienne du Sport pour Tous (UISP) 🇮🇹. With a great list of races on the program, you’re taking part in the "world’s largest race" ⭐️. How does that happen? Simply because it’s a simultaneous event that brings together thousands of runners in 60 cities around the globe! 🌏 So you’ll run at the same time as people in Sarajevo, Algiers, or Kyoto 😲. The flagship format is a 10 km race, but there are options like a 5 km (timed or open pace) and a relay duo of 10 km.

Okay, let us introduce you a bit more to the distances. You’ve got it: we start strong with the mythical race, the format 10 km race ✅. Since it’s a solid challenge, you can also do it in a relay 👯‍♀️. Yes, as a reminder sharing and solidarity, are the stars of the day! 👑 If you want a softer challenge, a 5 km race and a non-classified option are on the menu 📋. So either you go for shattering your time, or you choose a chill pace to enjoy a nice run 🧘‍♀️. Since no one should be left out, kids are well highlighted at this event. The goal of this race is to advocate for a cause AND bring as many people together as possible, so kids, we don’t forget them ‼️ Depending on their age, they can run a 500 m, 1 300 m or 2 000 m, the champions will be right before your eyes! 👀 Oh, we almost forgot a wild race. The "R'Vivi", a intergenerational relay in fours! 🤯 That, in terms of solidarity, is dazzling! 🔥

The DNA of the race rests on an act of resistance through sport. Organised by the FSGT 94, the event promotes values of social justice and environmental respect 🌱. It’s a popular running event where you’ll meet professional athletes as well as weekend runners 🫂. What makes it unique is also its internationally weighted score⚡️. The sports medicine institute has set precise parameters according to the altimetric profile (end elevation, it’s easier 🤣) of each organizing city 📋. Result: your time in Vitry is weighted and compared fairly, with that of a runner at the other end of the world 🙃. You’ll then be able to download your official diploma, directly on the UISP site, UISP, which will be a nice keepsake 📜.

Okay, you’ll be running simultaneously with runners from all over the world, but you can’t travel with them… 🧳 That’s sad, but don’t panic, you can also use this race to plan a great weekend 🙂‍↔️. Just 8 minutes of travel and you’re right in the heart of Paris! the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre Museum, you… That’s a lot of stars per square meter 🤩. Jokes aside, you’ve got plenty of sites to visit! 🗼 But one tip we recommend is to have a beautiful classic day in the capital city. The plan will be as follows: wake up with a coffee on a terrace, a stroll along the Quais of the Seine ☀️, French lunch at a typical brasserie, visits to many monuments and a relaxing evening at a good Parisian bouillon 🥖.
