Here we go, the holidays are over, the Dry January begins and you’re back to running 🎉. To kick off your year right, we’ve got the perfect race 🤩. In January, the Urban Trail of Montpellier offers you a unique discovery in a must-visit city in Occitanie, along a route of 6 or 12 km you can tackle solo, in a duo or in a team (corporate) 💼. Festive vibes guaranteed! 🤪

Choose your best costume and transform into Hérault 🦸‍♂️. This urban trail is tailor-made for athletes who love a warm, inviting vibe and unique courses 🪡. With a late-evening start, the Urban Trail of Montpellier takes you to the heart of the Écusson in nocturnal glow 🌙. You’ll access iconic alleyways and even enter historic buildings usually closed to visitors 🔎. You’ll be treated to two unique routes that will show you Montpellier in a condensed version. From the roof of the Corumyou’ll admire Montpellier by night before entering the historic heart. After crossing the Jardin de l’Hôtel de Sully 🌳 by wandering through the cobbled streets of the Écussonyou’ll have a great chance to pass by the Faculty of Law which opens its doors exceptionally for this urban trail 🩺. Once you reach the Gardens of Peyrou, you’ll be under the Arc de Triomphe erected in honor of Louis XIV alias the Sun King (for one of France’s sunniest cities! Coincidence? We don’t think so!) 🌞. You’ll then climb back in time by descending the medieval streets and you’ll get to admire the famous churches Sainte-Anneand Saint-Roch ⛪️. You’ll also see the Babote Tower before heading to the lycée Joffre and the famous city staircases to really stretch your legs before finishing. Of course, you’ll spot more historic landmarks, but we’ve got a few surprises 🤫. One thing’s for sure: the vibe will be festive as this race is costume-friendly and light-hearted 🎭. Speaking of kids, 4 races suited to their ages are reserved, so everyone is happy ☺️.

Just because it’s January doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do in Montpellier! This student city is very dynamic and moves a lot 🫨. Take a stroll in the Écusson (by day this time 😉), wander through the Place de la Canourgue, discover the Antigone district and treat yourself to a culinary stop at the Halles Laissac. But if you’d rather get away from the crowds, head south because the Hérault has plenty of scenic spots, especially along the coast 🌊.
