Le semi-marathon Alicante-Santa Pola est souvent vu comme l'une des courses les plus belles d'Espagne, offrant aux participants une expérience unique le long de la côte. Le parcours de 21,0975 km emmène les coureurs le long de la côte méditerranéenne, en partant du célèbre Palais de la Ecma, siège du Conseil provincial d'Alicante. Pendant la course, les athlètes passeront par le parc El Palmeral, Urbanova, Arenales del Sol, les plages de Carabassí et le phare historique de Santa Pola. Ce parcours côtier, entièrement le long de plages Pavillon Bleu, se termine à la plage de Varadero, à Santa Pola.
