About this event
L'Allerton Park Trail Run est organisé par le Second Wind Running Club. Ce parcours de 9,2 km emmène les athlètes sur des sentiers difficiles qui longent la rivière Sangamon, exigeant concentration et agilité pour franchir des obstacles techniques tels que des racines cachées, des ornières, des virages serrés et d'autres obstacles naturels. Les bénéfices sont reversés à l'amélioration continue des infrastructures du parcours d'Allerton Park, notamment les garde-corps, la lutte contre l'érosion et l'amélioration des équipements pour les coureurs et les visiteurs du parc. La ligne d'arrivée s'ouvre sur une prairie, offrant un cadre idéal pour se détendre et discuter avec les autres athlètes après la course. L'esprit festif est de mise : les costumes sont encouragés sur les sentiers.
