Need a real mountain challenge this summer? During the Pentecost weekend, the Trails of the Brevon Valley attract enthusiasts to Bellevaux, in the Lac Léman Alps. With 5 distances (10, 20, 35 and 55 km solo or relay) and an elevation gain between 1400 and 4200 mD+, the steep, rocky course promises breathtaking landscapes between lakes, ridges and forests. A technical and majestic adventure in Haut-Chablais.

Throughout the Pentecost weekend, at the start of June (no excuses not to come, it’s a holiday!), many running fans will travel to Bellevaux, in Haute-Savoie. This trail in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is all about pure happiness in the Brevon valley, in the midst of Alpes du Léman, beside ski resorts, but especially between lakes and mountains. 🏞️
Knowing that this is among France’s most challenging and technical races makes your mouth water? It’s nothing compared to the beauty of the landscapes you’ll admire! You’ll have 5 distances to choose from to prove nothing can stop you. On the program: The "Trail Découverte du Brevon" of 10 km, the 20 km, the "Trail des Crêtes du Brevon" of 35 km and the legendary "Trail des Allobroges" of 55 km (to be completed solo or in relay). The elevation gain is insane: from 1400 mD+ to… 4200 mD+! The organizers don’t joke about the level of technicality 🧗. As for the route, expect it to be quite steep and rocky with single tracks, ridges, forest trails...🌲 You’ve been warned: to conquer it and prove you’re a warrior, we’re counting on you to train for mountain running seriously—and not just a little, my nephew; on top of that, the general physical preparation (GPP) will be essential! But you’ll see, what will help you most is the majestic scenery that stands before you. Between the Boeufs Mountain, Col de la Buchille, Pointe de la Balme, Lac de Vallon or even Lake Geneva and the Mont-Blanc, you won’t be bored! ⛰️
Your greatest reward will lie in all the memories you bring back from this incredible adventure . The Brevon Valley, located in the Haut Chablais, is classified as a remarkable natural site, and you’ll see, the post-race activities are plentiful! But after so much effort, you’ll probably save visits for another day, so discover local specialties like Atriaux or the cheese crusts, delicious! 🧀
