In April, Deltebre, a town nestled between Barcelona and Valencia, for a triathlon caliente 🔥. Attention, culture moment 👆 : did you know that Deltebre comes simply from the contraction of "Delta" and "Ebro" ? Yes, it’s that simple! 🤗 This stretch of Catalonia is the magical place where the Ebro, the longest river in Spain, flows into the Mediterranean Sea 🌊. And it’s here, in this unique landscape of lagoons and rice fields cradled by the songs of flamingos, that the Tritour Deltebre awaits you to write your athletic legend 🏆.

Every year, more than 1,000 triathletes come to test themselves at this event that has made TriTour Deltebre a true cradle of triathlon in Catalonia 💥. Why? Because this town guarantees a triathlon that rolls out the red carpet for your time ⏱️: a swim against the current of the Ebre in your back (thanks for the boost! 🙏), a cycling leg at ultrafast speed on straight roads that are just waiting for you to push out watts ⚡️ and a flat run that offers a dream race 😎. Distances vary for all tastes and all calves 🦵. For a pure adrenaline shot, you have the Sprint and its 750 m of swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km of running 🤗. For endorphin lovers, there is the Half and its 1,9 km swim, 86 km of cycling and 20 km of running) 😮. Between them, there is the Short 🤏 (950 m of swimming, 57 km of cycling and 10 km of running) and the Olympic 🏅 (1,5 km of swimming, 38 km of cycling and 10 km of running) which let you dose intensity as you please. If running doesn’t entice you, you can even finish the Short in Aquabike: you swim, you pedal... and you dash straight to the final aid station! 😋 The big upside is that all races are relay-friendly 🤝. In short, whether you’re a sprinter, a beginner, a swimmer in love with the Ebre or a cyclist chasing records, Deltebre unfolds its scenery for a day of sport, personal bests and sharing 🌞. Honestly, whatever your level, give it a go! At worst, you’ll turn Catalonia into “Cata”, but it’ll make a great anecdote to tell 😜.
