Make room in your cellar and in your belly, the Tour des Crus du Beaujolais is going to fill you up! 🫄 the vineyards of the region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in Saône-et-Loire awaits you with three trail distances of 42km, 25 km (solo or duo) and a 13 km and a hike of 13 km 🏃‍♂️.

And which vineyards! 😍 The legendary lands of the Beaujolais are renowned for their many great cru, which led to a dozen controlled designation of origin (AOC) 🤌. The enthusiasts know this distinction is not trivial. It’s the prestigious mark of unique, protected know-how. After your race, you’ll have time to sample! But first, let’s take a closer look at what your race will entail. You have a choice of 4 distances, including a hike. The 42 km, “Le MaraTour des Crus”, offers 1 600 mD+ on wild paths and trails around Emeringes, Cenves and Pruzilly. The good news for competitors is that the race awards 50 K at the UTMB index 🌏. The challenge will be all the more rewarding since the landscape matches the challenge: you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view over the Saône plain after crossing the vineyards, forests and mountains that line your route 🍁🌲.

The second big distance, the 25 km (900 mD+), will please many because, in addition to offering an incomparable natural course, it also provides the option to be done in duo 🧑‍🤝‍🧑. Call your teammate to warn them, you’ll need to give it your all to reach the podium! Plus, « AuTour Des Crus » gets a fresh route this year, guiding you through the heart of the wine country of the Moulin-à-Vent and Chenas before moving to the heights of Emeringes and discovering Juliénas. Like Beaujolais Cru Marathon, you’ll enjoy views over the Saône plain… and even the Mont Blanc (if weather permits 🤞). That should motivate you to snag the 20 k at the UTMB index ! 💪

The last option left is the 12 km (200 mD+), « L’AlenTour des Crus », available in trail and walking formats! This shorter distance is the most accessible and lets you enjoy the surrounding landscapes at a relaxed pace, without worrying about the clock or burning out your legs 😮‍💨.

Finally, as every year, the organization donates 75% of the event’s profits to a charitable association 🫶. For this 2023 edition (which will take place during harvest, yay!), it’s « Noah de Coco », an organization that helps one or more children with multiple disabilities in the region and supports medical research 🩺.
