It's time to kick off an event that proves every meter traveled has real value, and that running holds amazing power to help 💪! “Kilometres of Help - Run in Garwolin” is a unique charity initiative that, each year, brings together residents of Garwolin District as well as runners from all over Poland around a common and noble goal. The race format is incredibly open and family-friendly – most participants enjoy a flat, accessible course (usually 5 km or a loop to repeat) ⏱️, which you can run, jog, or even walk. One thing matters: every step you take translates into concrete financial support for people in need, sick children, or local aid organizations.

Garwolin, set scenically in the eastern part of Mazovia, is renowned for its hospitality and its incredible intimate atmosphere at sporting events. After crossing the finish line with a broad smile, picking up a unique medal and taking souvenir photos with the team, it’s worth spending the rest of the weekend discovering the town’s charm and its surroundings 🥇 :

Rest by the Mamut water body – a beloved leisure spot for locals, perfect for a calm and refreshing stroll along the water, catching your breath after the race, and winding down in nature 🌊.

Visit the traditional Garwolin forests – the surroundings of Garwolin are encircled by beautiful dense pine forests (part of the state forests), offering quiet, tranquility and air that's perfectly pure, ideal for soothing the body after the athletic exertion 🌲.

Take a stroll to the charming center of Garwolin – admire the Neobaroque Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord with its distinctive towers, the architectural heart of the town and a key point on its historic map 🏰.

Take a break for a traditional Mazovian lunch – after burning hundreds of calories on the charity course, a hearty portion of homemade pierogi, a crispy breaded pork escalope with braised cabbage, or regional pastries at one of the local restaurants will be the well-deserved reward 🍽️.

Garwolin is very well located and well connected thanks to the S17 expressway. That means in about 45 to 50 minutes by car you’ll reach Warsaw, making it easy to pair a local, intimate start with the capital’s attractions.
