Course de l’Indépendance de Bydgoszcz

Gear up for one of autumn's most anticipated starts in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship! The Bydgoszcz Independence Run is an event that every November 11 gathers thousands of runners eager to celebrate the National Independence Day in the only way that fits – by running, with energy and in white and red. The flagship distance here is the classic, officially recognized 5 km. Start and finish are near the Zawisza stadium or right in the heart of the city, guaranteeing incredible, loud support from spectators from the first to the last meter!

Once you cross the finish line and proudly hang the medal around your neck, Bydgoszcz (nicknamed the “Polish Venice”) invites you to a well-deserved rest and to the celebration:

Wyspa Młyńska: The true green heart of Bydgoszcz, surrounded by the Brda and its branches. A perfect spot for a recovery stroll after the race. The old brick Rother mills, set against modern architecture, are incredibly striking, and the lawns here beckon for a moment of relaxation 🌳 Navigation.

The Venice of Bydgoszcz: Picturesque residential buildings located right by the water, near the Młynówka river. A stroll through these charming lanes will help lower the pulse after the final sprint and provide great photo memories with your medal 📸.

The Man Walking the River: Looking up over the Brda, you'll see the famous sculpture of a tightrope walker balanced over the water. It’s one of Bydgoszcz’s most recognizable symbols, best admired from the Jerzy Sulima-Kamiński Bridge 🧍‍♂️🌉.

Goose and Saint Martin’s croissants: November starts demand respect! Kuyavian-Pomeranian is famed for Poland’s best goose.
