The Trail Disneyland of the Trails 🎡

City 🏙️, forest 🌲, beach 🏖 and ocean! Here’s what to expect when you come to the Landes, in New Aquitaine! The famous seaside resort of Biscarrosse, on the Atlantic coast is the third town in the department and its landscapes will have you swooning 🤩. We hope you’ve enjoyed the beach 🏝️ and the summer sun ☀️, because in November the amiable Firefighters’ Association of UES Biscarrosse 🚒 invites you to a gathering. Don’t panic, winter temperatures 🌡 in the southwest aren’t as bad as you might think. Biscatrail welcomes you since 2006 with three distances: 10 km, 18 km and 32 km in addition to a 10 km hike. The hallmark of this trail lies mainly in the surfaces you’ll traverse. You’ll feel like you’re traveling, like a round-the-world-in-a-few-minutes, if only to Jules Verne 🌍.

You’ll see it, but you’ll also feel it, the forest 🌲 and its countless pines that will intoxicate you and leave you dreaming of summer holidays 😎. But don’t get too carried away ☁️ because this trail is notably flat, thus fast ⚡️. The only elevation forms in the sand dunes 🏖️, from where you’ll enjoy a grandiose viewpoint on the horizon. The course runs through or along pine forests 🌳, lakes 🐟, dunes 🐫, forest 🌲 and ocean 🌊 (you won’t cross the ocean, that’s not the American dream 🇺🇸 just yet). At the start of the various races, you’ll thus be able to move along the bay of Biscarrosse-Plage. The sea spray of the Atlantic 🌬️ will brush your gentle face as a Finisher. A privileged playground for coast dwellers throughout the year, this route, along the ocean, changes with the tides and is a renewable environment for escape, constantly 🔄. We hope you’ve properly trained your calves and your quads because the sand run demands a more complete muscular effort and greater than road or path running. If you’re prone to ankle sprains, this will also strengthen them 😉. Besides the sand, the surface will alternate between earth and asphalt, on a hilly route. Straddling the départements of the Gironde and the Landes, the different routes also include a stretch along the lake of Cazaux and Sanguinet 🎣, the second 🥈 largest freshwater lake in FranceLocated south of the Basin d'Arcachon and of la Grande Dune du Pilat, the commune of Biscarrosse is a must-see. Start with the town where many sites testify to its history through the centuries. The Océan Beach 🌊 awaits next, vast beyond measure where you can stroll along the sea front. The lakes finally, to enjoy the joys of swimming 🏊🏼‍♂️ and water sports 🏄🏼‍♂️. Three "poles" tucked in the heart ❤️ of the Forêt des Landes, which is nothing less than Europe’s largest forest 🇪🇺 : 1 200 000 hectares of maritime pines ! 😍 Perfect for long walks, always good varied. You’ll get a taste of the view! 🤤
