Testez votre endurance lors des Black Beacon Mountain Races, une série de courses de trail longue distance traversant les Black Mountains et le parc national de Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) du sud au nord. Les coureurs peuvent participer à un ultra-marathon de 160 km avec 3 658 m de dénivelé, un ultra de 80 km, un « Ultra Bach » de 50 km ou une course de trail de 34 km. Les parcours combinent des sentiers rapides et non techniques avec une navigation simple, dévoilant certains des paysages les plus saisissants du sud du Pays de Galles, des cascades et réservoirs aux plus hauts sommets.
Chaque distance est prise en charge par des bénévoles dévoués, un personnel événementiel professionnel et des points de contrôle bien approvisionnés : 13 sur le parcours de 100 miles, 6 sur celui de 50 miles, 4 sur celui de 50 km et 3 sur celui de 21 miles. Une assistance supplémentaire est assurée par trois stations de dépôt de sacs pour les coureurs du 100 miles et une pour ceux qui s'attaquent au 50 miles. Alliant accessibilité et défi, les Black Beacon Mountain Races promettent de devenir un véritable classique de la scène britannique de la course en montagne.
