Take a seat on this brand-new race in Savoie, at Bourget-du-Lac! The site of Technolac opens its doors for the most motivated runners 💪, ready to combat the cold of early winter ❄️. You’ll surely see snow on the surrounding peaks, or at your feet, who knows 🤷‍♀️. Speaking of peaks, the mountains are plentiful in the region and will watch over you every stride 🏃‍♂️. Yes, although technically Savoie trail running is well developed here, you won’t be scrambling on trails but you’ll be aiming for an RP on a paved course! 🛣️

And what a course! The Bourget Xpress is a loop of 5 km right in the heart of Savoie Technolac, a lively hub of thousands of students and iconic site of the Bourget 😍. You’ll have understood, a 5 km is on the program 🤓. But since this might be the last one of the year, would you like another lap? 😏 The 10 km will be the day’s biggest distance, plenty of fuel for everyone to push 😇. Because yes, this is also the Christmas race spirit, letting everyone join the neighborhood race in a friendly, festive vibe! 🥳 So if you want the full experience, why not come dressed as Santa Claus ? 🎅 It will please the kids present on event day! Indeed, a kids’ race of 1 km is also organized 👶. With a start at Prairie des étoiles, you’ll only shine on your event! Between road, bike lane and pedestrian path, you’ll know the place inside out ☝️. But the course will try to add a few meters of elevation to your legs! 📈 Trail runners from the area certainly won’t feel the small climbs and descents 😅 but they can quickly become tiring 🥵. The watchword: RE-START ! You’ll have to juggle between paces to avoid burning out at the wrong moment and conserve energy until the end 🔋.

How about a little cryotherapy session to soothe your legs after you’ve got your medal around your neck? 🧊 We’re not talking about a specialized salon but rather the Lac du Bourget! 🏞️ At this time of year, the lake is quite cold, perfect for circulation! 🦵 Still, we recommend not staying too long, or you might end up a human icicle 😂. To warm up, head to the esplanade du lacfor a nice walk with views of the mountains of Revard and the Dent du Chat. Hikers will be spoiled starting from Brison-Saint-Innocent for a forest stroll to the Grotte aux Fées ! If you want a bit more height, hop in your carriage and drive to the Belvédère du Revard for a breathtaking view over the entire valley 🤩. Once up there, you’ll have earned a delicious tartiflette 🧀 with a mushroom from Revard 🍫 for dessert, a panoramic view add-on 😎.
