La course Bridge Day 5K Run, sponsorisée par l'Institut de technologie de l'université de Virginie-Occidentale, offre aux participants une occasion unique de courir sur le pont New River Gorge Bridge, pour finir à Court Street à Fayetteville. Limité à 500 coureurs, l'événement interdit la marche en raison de la fermeture des routes et impose un âge minimum de 8 ans. Les participants reçoivent une médaille de finisseur et une médaille pour leur catégorie d'âge. L'inscription comprend la possibilité de souscrire une assurance pour l'événement.
