La course Bridge & Trestle est une épreuve d'endurance organisée par le State of Franklin Track Club, qui consiste en un parcours aller-retour entre la gare d'Alvarado et le départ du sentier d'Abingdon. L'événement promeut le développement durable en n'utilisant pas de gobelets jetables, mais en proposant des gobelets pliables que les participants peuvent utiliser aux points de ravitaillement. Des récompenses sont remises aux meilleurs coureurs masculins et féminins, et des boissons chaudes et des collations sont offertes à l'arrivée. Cette course fait partie des compétitions Trail Series et Long Distance Series du club et vise à maintenir les sentiers propres et exempts de déchets.
