In Saint-Éloi (FR), La Croquette is a canicross organized by French Run at the beginning of October, ideal for running with or without a dog. The program offers several races: 1 km for children, 5 km Canimarche, 800 m Canichiot, then 5 km Canicross, the flagship event and only timed distance. The objective is awareness of abandonment, and all registration fees are donated to Refuge de Beauregard, in a festive and supportive atmosphere.
We have a race to introduce to you, and what we can tell you is that it has some serious bite 🐶. This race is La Croquette, a perfect race for those who want to run with their four-legged friends 🐾. La Croquette is a canicross organized by the French Run at the start of the month of October 😉 . The goal of the event is to raise awareness about animal abandonment 🥹. All registration fees will be donated to the Beauregard Refuge 🙏, which has been working for animal welfare since 1982 🗓️.
Whenever you feel a twinge of guilt when you head out for a race because you have to leave your dog at the door 🥲, come sign up for La Croquette 🦴. This time, your fluffy friend can join you 😀, whether you’re running or walking 🚀. The event offers all kinds of races, whether with your pet or without, and at all distances 🤠. The day will kick off with a children’s race of 1 kmand will be followed by a 5 km open to everyone 🤗. Then it will finally be time to welcome the dogs with the first race: the Canichiot 🦮. It’s a race of 800 meters with adorable little puppies 🫶. The second race will be a Canimarche of 5 km, to be completed with or without a dog 🐩. Finally, the third and last one will be the Canicross of 5 km. This race is the flagship event of the day 🚨, and it will be the only distance timed. Now that you know the program 😎, there’s only to decide which distance you’ll sign up for 🧑💻. One thing’s for sure: you’ll have a wonderful time filled with festivity 🎊, solidarity, and a bit of personal challenge as well 🥵.
Once you’ve finished the race 👯♂️, whether alone or with your companion, it will be time to refuel 💪. You can head to the small village of Saint-Éloi or take a short drive to Nevers 🚘. There you can visit the Ducal Palace 🏰, the former residence of the dukes of Nevers 👑. If you’re peckish 🍽️, you can also head to the Halles of Nevers to taste local specialties 😋. There are really lots of things to do depending on what you’re in the mood for! 🤓
