AdventureCORPS organise le marathon et le semi-marathon de Cape Fear sur Bald Head Island, en Caroline du Nord, avec un parcours unique sur des routes sans circulation et des plages côtières. Les coureurs partent du phare Old Baldy et traversent les points de ravitaillement le long de l'île, pour finir près de Jules Salty Grub. La beauté des paysages de l'île et les conditions difficiles de la course exigent que les participants emportent leur propre boisson, car l'événement met l'accent sur la durabilité en étant « sans gobelets ». Divers services d'assistance et équipements améliorent la course, et tous les participants qui terminent la course reçoivent une médaille commémorative.
