Le CDF 10K est l'une des courses sur route les plus historiques et emblématiques du Pays de Galles. Organisée pour la première fois en 1986 par Kidney Wales, elle est désormais gérée par Run 4 Wales, l'équipe à l'origine du semi-marathon de Cardiff. Chaque automne, plus de 8 000 coureurs envahissent les rues de la capitale galloise pour un parcours plat et rapide qui fait également office de visite touristique. Le parcours passe par des sites emblématiques tels que le château de Cardiff, le Principality Stadium, les jardins Sophia Gardens et les parcs de Llandaff et Pontcanna, avant de se terminer en beauté au Edwardian Civic Centre. Ouvert à tous les niveaux, l'événement combine une course d'élite avec une participation massive et animée, ainsi qu'une course familiale de 2 km où les déguisements sont encouragés. Fort d'un héritage de 40 ans et de liens solides avec des associations caritatives, en particulier Kidney Wales, le CDF 10K est à la fois une compétition et une célébration de la communauté.
