Le marathon et le semi-marathon des îles Champlain sont des courses certifiées qui offrent un parcours pittoresque, plat à vallonné, dont le départ et l'arrivée se situent à proximité du domicile de Clarence H. DeMar, sept fois vainqueur du marathon de Boston. Le parcours entièrement goudronné traverse les régions pittoresques de South Hero et Grand Isle. Les participants auront accès à des points de ravitaillement tous les trois kilomètres environ, où ils pourront se procurer de l'eau et des boissons électrolytiques. L'événement comprend des récompenses pour les meilleurs coureurs dans différentes catégories, ainsi que des médailles pour tous ceux qui terminent la course.
