Le Cheviot Goat Ultra est une épreuve d'endurance hivernale qui se déroule dans les collines accidentées de Cheviot, dans le Northumberland. Couvrant certains des terrains les plus reculés d'Angleterre, cet ultra exige une grande résistance physique et mentale, car les coureurs doivent affronter des tourbières, des descentes herbeuses et la crête frontalière balayée par le vent qui sépare l'Angleterre et l'Écosse. Le parcours est en grande partie inaccessible aux véhicules, ce qui renforce le sentiment d'isolement, et en décembre, les conditions peuvent être difficiles : neige, glace et pluie battante font partie des défis à relever. Les participants reçoivent une carte étanche détaillée et un suivi GPS en direct, mais doivent compter sur leur expérience et leur autonomie pour réussir. Terminer le Cheviot Goat permet non seulement de remporter une médaille et un t-shirt, mais aussi d'entrer dans un club exclusif d'athlètes qui ont conquis l'un des ultras hivernaux les plus difficiles du Royaume-Uni.
