Le marathon Chine-ASEAN est une course internationale qui prend de l'ampleur et se déroule chaque année à Fangchenggang, une ville côtière du sud de la Chine. Reconnu par World Athletics, cet événement rassemble environ 20 000 coureurs autour de quatre formats de course : marathon, semi-marathon, course de 10 km et course ludique de 5 km. Depuis sa création en 2017, il a été salué à l'échelle nationale pour son parcours pittoresque et la qualité de son organisation. La course commence et se termine au parc culturel océanique du golfe de Beibu et est conçue pour mettre en valeur la géographie « mer, plage et montagne » de Fangchenggang. Le parcours du marathon complet est désormais plus plat et passe par le centre-ville, ce qui améliore le confort des coureurs tout en leur permettant de découvrir des sites culturels et naturels tels que le parc Egret, la zone panoramique de Xiwan et le pont Zhenyuling. Avec des divisions compétitives pour les ressortissants de l'ASEAN et une forte participation d'athlètes venus d'Asie, d'Afrique et d'Europe, le marathon est devenu une plateforme clé pour la coopération sportive.
