La Coastal Classic est une course à pied légendaire de 30 km qui permet de découvrir la beauté sauvage de la côte sud de l'Australie. Traversant Otford à Bundeena le long du célèbre sentier côtier du Royal National Park, cet événement offre un mélange spectaculaire de terrains, allant des falaises escarpées et des sentiers de la forêt tropicale aux plages immenses et aux landes ouvertes.
Avec plus de 830 m de dénivelé positif et 930 m de dénivelé négatif, les coureurs sont mis à l'épreuve tant sur leur endurance que sur leur agilité. Le parcours offre certaines des vues les plus spectaculaires du pays sur l'océan, passant par des sites emblématiques tels que Burning Palms, Garie Beach, Eagle Rock et Wattamolla Lagoon. Malgré les sections techniques et les montées raides, la course reste accessible aux coureurs de trail expérimentés à la recherche d'un défi dans un cadre naturel inoubliable.
L'ambiance à l'arrivée, dans le village côtier de Bundeena, est détendue et festive, les coureurs échangeant leurs anecdotes avec pour toile de fond les vagues, le sable et le soleil.
