Semi-Marathon de Bazas-Langon

A race for every stride! The Bazas-Langon Half Marathon is both an iconic and historic event, a must-see day in the world of running in Gironde. For more than 35 years, runners have found joy in the various routes offered at the very doorstep of the forest of Landes de Gascogne. 🌲

As for the half-marathon, the race is a “city to city” journey, from Bazas to Langon. It is clearly the flagship race of the event, covering just over 21 km, with a start in Bazas and its cathedral, followed by a sequence of descents and climbs into the Bazadais countryside. The stride stays pleasant on a rolling course, and particularly varied, sometimes hilly. Along the Garonne quays, the finish is in Langon, a town perched on a limestone terrace surrounded by vineyards. 🍇

Another possible distance: the Coimères-Langon of 12 km which allows for a more intense effort. The atmosphere is set thanks to commitment and enthusiasm shared by all the villages along the routes that harmonize with the event to give you an unforgettable moment. 👏

And since the idea is often to treat yourself and make others happy, a portion of your registration fee is directly donated to an association for hospitalized children. So killing two birds with one stone for a race that blends town and nature, between forest of Landes and Garonne Valley, between castles, a medieval city and vineyards. It’s also possible to discover renowned vineyards nearby such as the Sauternes estate 🍷. Also, as much as the villages and the surrounding nature, it’s not a bad idea to discover the cèpe à la bordelaise, the tricandille, the salmis de palombe, the Fine de Bordeaux or, of course, the Bœuf de Bazas 🐂. A very complete and enjoyable race, in a Gironde always welcoming.
