About this event
Le Country to Capital Ultra est l'un des ultra-marathons point à point les plus emblématiques du Royaume-Uni. Il couvre 69 km, de la campagne du Buckinghamshire au cœur de Londres. Organisé chaque année en janvier, il marque le début traditionnel de la saison des ultra-marathons et attire des coureurs élites et amateurs de toute la Grande-Bretagne et d'ailleurs. La course commence à Wendover et offre un parcours pittoresque mais difficile, qui passe de sentiers vallonnés à la campagne à la voie de halage plate et rapide du Grand Union Canal, pour finir près du paisible bassin du canal de Little Venice. L'événement sert aussi de première étape du Go Beyond Grand Slam, un défi ultra-marathon de quatre courses couvrant 180 miles. Entièrement suivie par GPS et interactive, la course garantit à la fois la sécurité et l'engagement des spectateurs, qui peuvent suivre en direct les progrès des coureurs. Avec des places qui s'envolent chaque année, Country to Capital est un incontournable pour les coureurs expérimentés qui veulent tester leur forme en début de saison ou se préparer à des défis plus importants.
