We’ve got a perfectly quirky event for you! 🐑 In May, head to Ponteyraud, in Dordogne to take part in the inaugural edition of the Sheep Run 🌾. This accessible trail welcomes you into an idyllic village ambiance that you’re bound to absolutely love 😍.

Here, we’re talking about a race that’s half-road, half-trail, designed to be accessible to everyone! 🟤 The Sheep Run is a custom-made event for nature lovers and rustic banquets with friends 🤤. The course? A loop of 10 km, entirely on forest trails. You can also opt for a warrior mode on the 21 km (two laps for the brave 💥). A 5 km walk is also offered for those who prefer to wander through the forest 🌳. The cherry on the pasture: everyone starts together at 10:00, for a true, casual group start 🕙. But make no mistake, this isn’t just about performance. We’re here to have fun with friends, and recreate a rugby-like third half atmosphere 🏉. In technical jargon, there’s a term for this post-race vibe: absolute happiness 😇. The setting? A living postcard of Nouvelle-Aquitaine between the château de la Blérétie, the flocks of sheep, family-owned properties, forests and the surprise activities 🎁. But the day’s star? Without a doubt, the giant banquet, and yes, it’s serious: deviled eggs for starters 🥚, duck breast & sautéed potatoes 🥔, and strawberries & pralines for dessert 🍓. As for drinks? Local wine from family estates (drink responsibly, we trust you 🍷). All of it is 100 % homemade and priced at 30€. Of course, the accent of the Southwest France is part of the package, and the playful jabs are welcome too 🤝. And if you’re bringing a supporter, a buddy, your aunt or your partner, save a seat for them! The banquet isn’t just for aching calves; everyone can raise a glass ☺️.
