La Gaz'Run

In all of the Île-de-France there are several green paradises 🌈, including the magnificent and renowned Forêt de Rambouillet, southwest of Versailles 👑, in the department of Yvelines. Located near the town of Rambouillet, the small commune of Gazeran hosts every year a very beautiful sporting and cultural event: La Gaz'Run ! 🚀 Gaz', as we like to affectionately call it, is a race for young and old alike, organized by the USEP association of Gazeran for the greatest joy of the children from all the town's schools. Three trail races as well as a orienteering race 🗺, are offered in a packed day: a flat 1 km course, a 3 km course with a gentle ascent of 40 m, and finally a 10 km course with 95 m of positive elevation. Three short trails, non-timed, just for fun! 🥰 We appreciate the approach, especially for a children's audience that can only relate 👧. This is not America First, but pure joy first ! 😍 Moreover, for this edition, the town is innovating and offers you, in addition to an orienteering race, a treasure hunt ! 🤩

The races take place in the village of Gazeran, enhanced by parks that will set the pace for this festive afternoon 🥳. Along the route you will follow the Guéville River, meandering between the cities of Épernon and Rambouillet 🌆. If you choose the orienteering race 🧭, on a 5-kilometer course, you will have the option to run 🏃🏼‍♀️ alone or in a team 🤝. 10 beacons are to be found with the map provided by the organizers... and powered by your instinct! You’ll get to walk in the shoes of a true explorer! 🔬 Into the forest 🌳.

If you choose the Gaz', in addition to the race you can enjoy the region's cultural treasures 👐, known for its easy-going lifestyle and its castles 🏰, among other things! The famous Château de Rambouillet and the Château de Voisins await you! One is world-renowned, the other was given a new lease of life from 1906, after having been razed 👨‍🦲. Many films or series have been shot at the Château de Voisins, including Hunger Games or Baron Noir. Attention to the curious and cinema lovers! 🎬 If you still have a little energy for a hike, many routes are available nearby. For example, the Rochers d'Angennes trail, to the north of Gazeran. If you want to keep going with a theme that kids love, you can plan a visit to the Rambolitrain a miniature train museum located in Rambouillet 🚋.
