About this event
On the docks of Yutz, the Muscle Race for the Telethon stands as a festive day where you can run or walk by choice (5, 10 or 15 km) to support AFM Téléthon. Open to everyone, including people with disabilities, the loop starts from the kayak club and puts inclusion at the heart of the event. Drinks and food punctuate the day, and the funds support research and patient care.
The Muscle Run for the Yutz Telethon is a day of celebration on the riverfront! 💦 While you can jog or walk, the event gives participants plenty of freedom. 15, 10 or 5 km, it’s up to you to choose! So rally your family and friends, because you’ll be supporting a good cause 🤗. Proceeds will be donated to AFM Téléthon 🤝.
A quick note: this organization was founded in 1987 by Bernard Barataud and Pierre Birambeau, two fathers of boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Since then, the aim has been to raise as much money as possible. These funds help finance medical research, patient support, and the development of innovative therapies 🔬. It underscores the importance of solidarity among everyone and helping people suffering from rare diseases 💊. During the first edition of the Yutz Telethon in 2023, €10,000 were raised to aid patients, from research to healing; funds support all stages of care! In 2024, €21,000 were collected and in 2025 nearly €20,000! This year, we’re counting on the running enthusiasts to put their passion to work for the cause! 💪
You’ll run (or walk) along the Yutz quay 🌳, starting from the kayak club 🛶. This loop was also designed to be accessible for people with disabilities. Whether you’re able-bodied or not, in a wheelchair or not, you’re encouraged to take on the challenge! ⚡️ Of course, if you’re living with a disability, you can participate in any of the routes! 👏
And the day doesn’t stop at the finish line! 😇 Drinks and catering will be available throughout the event 🍽️.
So we expect many participants in the Muscle Run for the Yutz Telethon to push research forward, enable cures, and support people with illnesses! ❤️
