Spartan Race St.Pölten

Run, climb, carry, run, lift, crawl, run, ascend, traverse… 🥵 This is a test that makes you dream dream. Oh yes, the Spartan St.Pölten doesn’t mess around when it comes to effort. No room for a “I don’t feel like it” moment here—motivation and grit will rule 💥. Are you coming to crawl in the mud and tame the obstacles 🚧. The scene is set: we’re in Lower Austria, in the heart of Austria (logic 😹), in Sankt Pölten, for a weekend of pure madness in June. Well, since we’re doing an obstacle race, let’s do it with the world leader as your counterpart, right? Come become a true Spartan ⚔️.

In short, Spartan is the RACE that will scour you, let you enjoy, and push you beyond your limits 🔥. Scrappy, solid, motivated, and determined: those are the qualities you need. Add to that some trail-like running and obstacles of every kind. Can you start to imagine it? To finish, 300, you know, the movie about the Battle of Thermopylae, where they appear superhuman and valiant on all fronts? 🫡 Well, that’ll be a bit you during this race. On the program, of course running, but mainly filled with original challenges. Don’t be scared by the English names that will appear; being from the United States, the obstacles all have anglophone twists! 🇺🇸 For example, the Barbed wire crawl : a crossing under the barbed wires 🪝, “the Helix”: climbing a slanted wall or the Rope Climb” that will test your ability to climb a rope 🪢. In short, you’ll quickly realize you’ll need strong motivation to line up at the start. Whether you’re aiming to surpass yourself, prove, or confirm, you surely have a good reason to take on this challenge.

Obviously, there’s something for everyone, especially for all levels, so no excuses ❌. We start with the “ Sprint”, explosive and quick, a 5 km race with 20 obstacles to conquer. You can also double the stakes with the “ Super” which launches you over 10 km of running and 25 obstacles on the course. Then we continue with the legendary distances with the “ Beast ”, a 21 km and 30 obstacles scattered (that’s quite a half-marathon...). After that, you’ve got to believe there are still real Spartans on Earth, and they’ve got it figured out 🤣. That’s why there’s also the format “ Spartan Hurricane Heat , a 12h, on a pure endurance format and self-overcoming 💪. Crossing a river laden, direction, crawling under barbed wires or in thick mud… 🫟 There’s really plenty to come back as a sport monster. We did say it’s “for everyone”, so why not test yourself at a young age with the "Kids Race" from 1 to 3 km with 10 to 20 obstacles ! 👦 And by the way, with these wild formats, you can do these races as a duo. Starting and finishing together, on the obstacles, only one of the two participants will tackle them (you’ll have to decide who goes first 🤓).

For this Austrian edition, the contrast is crazy! Between climbing walls in the city, Traisen River to cross and thick mud from the Viehofen lakes, the landscape will be ever-changing. Oh yes, finishing a Spartan race is worth it! ✨ To add a little extra challenge, if you complete a Sprint + Super + Beast in a calendar year (or in one weekend 😵‍💫), you’ll start the collection of the Trifecta 🏅. A totally unique medal to assemble race by race. It will entrust you to a closed circle and forge in you a warrior spirit that’s pure and tough. By the way, to get it, it’s better to participate in other races! We’re suggesting Spartan Kulmbach, Spartan Zell am See-Kaprun, or Spartan Berlin. With that you’ll have plenty to kick off the collection 🥇.
