Courir POUR ELLES

If you run regularly in Lyon, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, you’ve surely seen these joggers wearing a pink t-shirt 👚. It’s the preferred outfit of the participants in the charity run Courir POUR ELLES ! Before being a race, Courir POUR ELLES is above all a non-profit organization committed to fighting feminine cancers 🚺. Courir POUR ELLES is more than a race; it’s a moment to share in common values of solidarity, sharing and benevolence 🤝, in a warm atmosphere where laughter and fun are on the agenda 😁.

During these events, the women are highlighted, whether they’re the fighters battling cancer, the loved ones supporting them, but also the men AND women who want to show their support 🙌. Indeed, the Sunday race is 100% feminine (GIRL POWER 👊🏼), it’s your intimate moment with zero judgments 🚫. Men, as for them, can Courir POUR ELLES on Friday and on the Saturday, where races are mixed, but also in the formats connected ! 🥰 Through sport, this wonderful race shows that despite illness it is still possible to believe, to dare and to move forward 💪. It’s also a chance tosurpass, to know you aren’t alone and to share a unique moment with the multitude of women who come for the occasion 🏃‍♀️.

The formats available are as follows :

1st format : Sunday, June 7 at Grand Parc Miribel-Jonage to share a special moment with all the other runners and the association members. A parcours of 10 km un-timed 😎 also offered a non-timed 5 km walk 5 km 🚶🏻‍♀️ and a 2.5 km. If in May, we do what we like, we’re sure the mad warm-up 💃, the various stands and thecrazy atmosphere 🎉 will please you. The warmth will probably be there to proudly show off your pink shirt 👚. It’s a 100% female event, go away guys, make room for the Vague Rose! 💁🏼‍♀️ This year, companies 👨‍💼 are invited to run on the Friday, June 5 and the whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 (Gentlemen, you’re welcome), on the Saturday, June 6! The fight for the cause knows no gender, so it’s essential to mobilize all together! 💓.

2nd format : Connected format 🤳 from mid-May to June 7 all over France 🇫🇷 and abroad 🌎. As mentioned, this year Courir POUR ELLES has planned to involve as many people as possible in this event 👫. You can choose among the same distances, 5 km and 10 km in the format walk or run 🚶🏻‍♀️. And by the way, why connected 📲? No need to follow a specific route, you can run where you want, when you want and if you connect, during your run you’ll receive motivational audio messages from the association to support you, even remotely 😎. Yes, you guys 💁‍♂️ can join this format too; organizers are quite accommodating 😉.

You can sign up for any of these formats solo or in groups, because as we said, it’s mainly a way to reconnect and share a sporting and unique moment 😍.

It’s still in the gastronomy capital 🍽️ where this beautiful event takes place 📍. You’ll have a chance to sample the famous Lyonnais bouchons 🤤, with a tasty pâté de campagne as starter, the renowned quenelle de Lyon as a hot dish and to finish on a sweet note the legendary tarte à la praline, also pink 😋.

For a perfect weekend, you should head to the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière ⛪ to admire the stunning view and stroll through the Vieux Lyon neighborhood and its charming narrow streets 🤩.
