Here, road bikes stay in the garage: wide MTB tires reign, and instead of urban boulevards, technical trails around the lakes await you 🌲🚲.

The swimming typically takes place in the clear waters of the Domowe Duże Lake, and the cycling and running routes pass through picturesque forested expanses that will demand maximum concentration and strength from the athlete.

The ruins of the Teutonic Castle: It’s here that the famous “Teutonic Knights” from Henryk Sienkiewicz (that’s where Jurand of Spychów was imprisoned!). Today, the ruins have been beautifully restored and form the city’s cultural heart — the perfect place for a post-race stroll 🏰.

The Pofajdoki Trail: Szczytno has its own dwarfs: the pofajdoki, mischievous figurines inspired by Mazurian folklore scattered throughout the town. Finding them all is a great family-friendly recovery activity 👺.

The Mazurian Museum: If you want to learn more about the unique culture of this region, the local museum (housed in the town hall building) has one of Mazury’s most interesting ethnographic exhibits 🏛️.

The Krzysztof Klenczon Monument: The legendary leader of Czerwone Gitary actually hailed from Szczytno. His monument draws music fans, and in town you can often hear his timeless hits 🎸.
