It's possible, and that's where you'll park your suitcase and your sneakers in March! 👟 Welcome to the third largest city in Vietnam: Da Nang 📍. If it's your first marathon in Southeast Asia, you won't be disappointed! The Da Nang International Marathon is a benchmark and is ready to impress you! 🤩 Now, a heads-up: such a race is earned: 3:00 AM start 😅. It’s often said the future belongs to those who rise early; here it’s the finish line that belongs to those who run early ! 😂 You won't regret waking up at dawn as the sunrise and the rose-gold colors 🌅 will tint the sky and give the race a unique atmosphere 🤗.

Once the morning mist clears 🌁, you’ll be able to fully enjoy the course! 🥰 Marathon, half-marathon, 5 km, or kid races 👧, all runners will discover one or more of the wonders of Da Nang 🌇. The farther you go, the more you’ll see! 😉 And it’s a real sightseeing trip awaiting you! 🗺️ Since the Bien Dong Park 🌴, a green oasis in the middle of the city, you’ll stroll along the My Khe Beach, one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world (yes, really) 😍. You’ll surely be tempted to stop for photos, but remember you have a clock to beat 😬. You’ll even have a chance to set a new personal record at the Da Nang International Marathon! 💪 You’ll string straight segments past the monuments: Apec Park 🌳, Cham Sculpture Museum, Dragon Bridge 🐉, Han Market or the Linh Ung Pagoda 🪷. To reach all these spots, you’ll cross many bridges: Tran Thi Ly, Thuan Phuoc and Man Quang. Da Nang doesn’t earn its nickname "the city of bridges" from nowhere 🤓.

Despite the route’s beauty, you’ll miss some bridges to discover ☝️. You’ll need to extend your stay after the race to avoid leaving hungry! 😋 With your medal around your neck and sore legs 🏅, you’ll be able to go see the Golden Bridge, the city’s most iconic bridge ⭐️. You’ve probably seen it on Instagram 📸, that famous golden bridge held up by two giant stone hands : much more impressive in person than in photos! 🥹 Heads up if you have vertigo: you’ll be 1,000 meters above the sea 🫣. For those who truly crave grandeur 🫨, head to the Linh Ung Pagoda and its marble Buddha statue standing at 72 meters tall! ⬆️ You’ll feel tiny beside it 🤏. After all these thrills, you’ll need to refuel with local specialties 🍽️. The most famous among them, Mi Quang, featuring wide rice noodles 🍚 with a broth made from chicken, pork or shrimp, served with fresh vegetables 🥕.
