Mediterranea Tri ? 🤨 The Mediterranea Triathlon is the Mediterranean's most popular triathlon circuit 🍹, with over 4,000 participants spread across its three cities: Alicante, Castellón and Valencia 😱. And on this page, we present the 3 formats of the Mediterranea Valencia Triathlon! 😇 This beautiful city on Spain’s southeast coast! 🇪🇸 To tell you a bit more about this dear triathlon, here are the races: the flagship one and it lives up to its name as the “Olympic Triathlon” 🏆, which consists of 1.5 km of swimming 🏊‍♂️, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running! So yes, this competition can be tough if you don’t come prepared 💪. Otherwise, two other options are available. The “Sprint Triathlon” for example, is less demanding 🥺: 0.75 km of swimming, 20 km of cycling 🚵‍♀️ and 5 km of running! If you think this distance is still too challenging for your level, then we recommend turning to the “SuperSprint Triathlon” which requires 350 m of swimming, 10 km of cycling and 2.5 km of running! 👣 All Mediterranea Tri races in Valencia are open to duos! 🤞 So don’t hesitate to bring your best teammate in your suitcase before flying to Spain ✈️. For families who want to enjoy a sporty moment, the Duathlon will be perfect for them! 🎽 It’s a non-competitive race that lets kids come have fun with their parents and get a bit of discipline! 🚴‍♂️ This triathlon is rich in diversity, with athletes from all corners of the world competing over this special weekend 🌏. It will surely be an opportunity to meet new people and bring back great memories (with a finisher medal on top) 🏅.

As you’ve probably guessed, that means the swimming event takes place in the sea 🌊 (watch out not to swallow too much salt, because salt makes you thirsty). Speaking of salty water, we strongly recommend enjoying the extraordinary beaches 🏖️ along Valencia, including the Playa De La Malvarossa, the Playa Las Arenas or the Playa Patacona (yes we say playa because we’re bilingual) 🌅. During your stay, you can also indulge in the architecture. This Spanish province features both places where futuristic architecture is stunning, such as the City of Arts and Sciences 🔬 which is called the Hemisferic ⚗️, its design resembling a human eye — how cool is that?
