Judo Club Sundsvall is pleased to invite you to Drakstaden Cup 2, 2026 – a friendly and developmental judo competition that’s perfect for children, youths, and beginners.
👦👧 The competition is for
- U9–U15 (born 2012–2020)
- Adult beginners (15 years - 100 years)
- Also adapted for beginners, making the event a great opportunity to try judo competition for the first time.
- Note that no fixed weight classes are used. 📌 Registration is only via Smoothcomp.
⭐ New for 2026 – Adult beginners
From Drakstaden Cup 1, 2026 we introduced a new category for adult beginners:
- For participants from 15 years
- Applicable if you have competed in fewer than 10 judo events
- We use floating weight classes and age groups to create the fairest matches possible.
🕘 Competition format
- The day opens with a joint warm-up and rules briefing for U9 and U11 before matches begin.
- Award ceremony on the dojo mat after U9 and U11 have finished competing.
- Next, a joint warm-up and rules briefing for U13, U15, and adult beginners before their matches start. When the older competitors are finished, there will be a joint prize ceremony on the dojo mat.
