Want to run in the land of the rising sun in November? Join the Yodogawa EcoMarathon in Osaka, along the Yodo River. Race options: half marathon, 10 km timed, or a 5 km parent-child walk/run, starting at 11:00, flat and fast course for all levels. The event is eco-friendly and supports Second Harvest Japan, with a limit of 300 participants.
Have you always dreamed of running in the land of the rising sun? 🌅 Pack your bags 🧳 this November, we’re inviting you to Japan 🇯🇵, in the Osaka Prefecture, in the district of Yodogawa, for the Yodogawa Eco Marathon 🏃♀️.
If you’re more of a solo runner 🧍♂️, join the semi-marathon or the 10 km timed, and if you prefer running with family 🧑🧑🧒🧒, a 5 km parent-child race is organized. The start of the races will be at 11:00 AM sharp 🕚, in the heart of Osaka, along the Yodo River. You’ll run along its banks via the bike path 🚴♂️. With a flat, easy, and fast course ⚡️, the race is open to both beginner runners and seasoned athletes aiming to beat their personal best 💪. The participant cap is set at 300 people, so you won’t have to elbow your way at the start 😝.
With several other sporting events organized, especially in the prefectures of Saitama, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo 🌸) the Ecomarathon seeks to be an environmentally conscious organization 🌳 and committed to various causes 🎗️. This year, it is possible to donate to the refugee support international association : Second Harvest Japan. First food bank in Japan, the organization is dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to food 🍲.
Osaka city has a complex history, but it has managed to evolve and reinvent itself over the years while remaining a central and important city in the country. It is a very tourist-friendly destination that combines traditional culture with modern vibes 🎐. Whether you’re into cuisine, shopping, culture, or entertainment, you should find your happiness in Osaka 😍. If you decide to extend your stay, why not swing by the Shin-Osaka Station and Umeda museum to learn more about the trains connecting the prefecture. If you’re seeking a bit more tradition, don’t hesitate to try the Sentō (public baths) or the Onsen (traditional hot springs).
