You see life in blue? 🔵 The Blue Week, or “National Week for Older People and Caregivers”, takes place each year from September 30 to October 6. And what better way to close this event in style than a charity and solidarity run? 👫 That’s what Paris en Compagnie offers with two sporting routes in the heart of the capital, on Sunday. A third edition that, we hope, is only the start of a long series! 🤞 See you at Canal Saint-Martin on October 6.

Often overlooked, our seniors nevertheless often need support and companionship… That’s why the City of Paris, with the support of Paris Saint-Jacques, Lulu in My Street, and the Petits frères des pauvres association, has decided to set up a run and a walk to support Parisian seniors; the stated goal being to “facilitate mobility for the elderly and combat their isolation” 🤝. A noble cause that doesn’t necessarily require a family member… Since you can even choose to support a stranger to bring them a bit of comfort! The activity takes place in pairs and will start in Jardin Villemin - Mahsa Jîna Amini Park in the 10th arrondissement of Paris… You can then decide with your partner whether to take part in the 4 km walk or the 6 km run 👟.

And if you fear your teammate won’t be able to participate, worry not! Indeed, the walk is not timed and both events are accessible to people with mobility impairment and wheelchair users🧑‍🦽. It’s even possible to compete if you have a motor and/or visual disability. A totally inclusive event focused on others that will warm the hearts of many 🥰. Strollers are also welcome for the 4 km walk, which is accessible from age 4. A perfect morning to share with family or friends! 👨‍👩‍👧

So rejoice, because it’s an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful moment of sharing in a privileged place, all while doing good! And since seniors are in the spotlight, registration is free or by donation 🤑. Nothing stops you after, if you had a good time, from enjoying the sunshine with a picnic in the park or visiting the City of Science and Industry at the end of the path! You might even want to bring sunglasses because the weather forecast for this year looks perfect 😎.

You can then accompany one (or several) elderly people by providing a bit of companionship.
