Lovers of wide spaces and thrills, this event takes you to Allauch, in PACA near Marseille, for the Alpi Trail de Pichauris. Four races (12, 21, 44 and 85 km, the latter possibly in relay) wind between the Garlaban massif and Pichauris Park, offering 360° panoramas between land and sea in November. A sporty and picturesque immersion in the dry lands of the south, bathed in the spirit of nature.
Are you a fan of wide-open spaces and thrilling sensations ❤️? The Alpi Trail de Pichauris should suit you perfectly. In Allauch (pronounced al-oh), in the Bouches-du-Rhône in the PACA region, just a few strides from Marseille, this race has brought together nature lovers since 2015 in the heart of November when autumn weather 🍂 proves who the real deal is.
After a good warm-up, head toward the Garlaban mountain and the Pichauris Park! The organizers have crafted 4 events for a beautiful crescendo climb: the Discovery of 12 km, the Sport of 21 km, the Elite of 44 km and the Expert of 85 km which can be done in relay 🤝.
The Alpi Trail, starting from Allauch, promises you breathtaking landscapes 😍. The dry, rocky scrubland sets the stage for the stories “Manon des sources” and “Jean de Florette” from Marcel Pagnol. The route will likely evoke scenes from the film, but remember why you came to the arid lands of southern France 🌳. You’ll have to climb the summits of Garlaban, the Mont des Marseillais or the Pic de Taoumé but the effort is worth it. From the singles and balconies along the course, you’ll enjoy 360-degree panoramas blending land and sea 📷. You’ll be able to admire hills dear to Marcel Pagnol, Mont Ventoux, Marseille and the sea in the background 🖼️. Fat chance, you’ll be spellbound 🔥 !
After the race, you can explore the town, the Vieux Port, and the lively narrow streets. If you brought your swimsuit, Allauch 💧! You can indeed go cool off your legs in the famous calanques 🏊♂️. In November, you need motivation, but with a good microclimate, you won’t fear anything! Also take the chance to savor the calissons of Allauch fondly nicknamed the suce-miel. Mind your waistline, don’t overdo it!
