L'Extremo Sul Ultramarathon est une course extraordinaire qui invite les participants à tester leur endurance et leur résistance sur un parcours de 226 km (140 miles). Situé dans la région la plus méridionale du Brésil, le parcours s'étend de Barra do Chuí à Santa Vitória jusqu'à Cassino à Rio Grande, le long de la plus longue plage du monde. Cette course en autonomie doit être terminée dans un délai de 52 heures, ce qui oblige les participants à transporter leur propre ravitaillement et à évoluer sur un terrain instable et en constante évolution, où la frontière entre la mer et le sable s'estompe dans un horizon infini. Avec plusieurs points de contrôle tout au long du parcours, ce défi fait autant appel à la force mentale qu'à la force physique, ce qui en fait une aventure sans pareille pour ceux qui cherchent à repousser les limites de leur endurance.
