L'événement se déroule à Lorton et propose une course d'endurance pittoresque sur des sentiers forestiers et prairiaux, situés sur l'ancien site d'une prison. Le parcours est principalement constitué de terre et de gravier, avec quelques courtes sections goudronnées. Il comprend de nombreuses montées et descentes courtes, mais aucune ascension prolongée. Le départ et l'arrivée se font au Workhouse Arts Center. Les participants peuvent soutenir l'association locale à but non lucratif Homestretch afin de sensibiliser le public et de collecter des fonds pour les services qu'elle offre aux familles de la région.
