Want to take on one of the fastest 10 km races in the French capital? While there isn’t a landing strip in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, you’ll probably spot fighter jets on every street corner 🚀. In fact, a lot of runners will line up on the starting line of Rue Lecourbe, in the southwest of the City of Light 💡. The turbines will turn and the kerosene will burn, get ready, because it’s going to blow your mind 🌬️.

"I believe i can touch de sky" 🌟. But hey, you don’t need to go that high to win the gold at the Flytex 10 km Paris15. Once you cross the finish line, you’ll have already flown over the pavement for 10 000 meters, the distance between the stratosphere and the Earth’s surface in some parts of the planet 🌍. In short, it should be more “ I believe I can ”, but rather “ I know I can ”. But let’s keep our feet on the ground: the course is exclusively asphalt and will let you push a steady pace. You’ll clock in the 10 km and the 43 mD+ without even realizing you started 🤯. And to make your task as easy as possible, the organizers have you racing on a single loop, so no risk of taking the wrong turn and missing your PR (yes, yes, like Elvis Cheboi at the Marathon de la Rochelle for example 😬). Here you can go straight ahead without worrying about the markers. The only color code to remember corresponds to black and white which will signal you can stop running 🏁. After all, if you want to extend your effort, nothing stops you, but you’ll be no longer timed 😂.

Once the journey is over and the luggage is placed in the Parisian capital, you can pull out the flip-flops and go for a stroll in the surroundings 🩴. And you won’t even need to hire a tour guide, you’ll find wonders around every street corner 📸. The 15th arrondissement is one of the largest in the city and is home, among others, to the Statue of Liberty (or at least one of its official doubles 😋), the Aquaboulevard of Paris, the Montparnasse Tower and the Parc Georges Brassens. If you cross the border and decide to explore the 7th arrondissement, you’re in for a real gold mine 💛: the Place des Invalides, the Champ de Mars, the Rodin Museum, the Orsay Museum, the Quai Branly Museum or the unmissable Eiffel Tower are all concentrated in a space of less than 4 km2 🗼. Finally, whatever your arrondissement, there are beautiful things to see everywhere. That’s the real perk of Paris: wherever you are, you’ll always find something to sink your teeth into 🦷. And of course, this also goes for food: from the croque-monsieur to the macaron via the jambon de Paris or the Paris-Brest, you won’t leave hungry 🤤.
