Les Foulées Veauchoises invite you to Veauche, in the Loire, for a trail where nature and rolling terrain blend at the heart of the Forez. Three distances are offered: 6 km, 11 km and 21 km, with 314 mD+ on the 21 km and 95 mD+ on the 11 km, zero elevation gain on the short. The courses, mainly lanes and agricultural paths, reveal the landscapes between Veauche, Saint-Bonnet-les-Oules and Saint-Héand.
Come on, it’s decided! 🤓 Today, we escape to the department of the Loire for a trail that’s perfectly timed! We feel a need for nature, escape, and sweat! 😮💨 Les Foulées Veauchoises take place in Veauche, a small town north of Saint-Étienne, the prefecture of department 42 📍. The landscape you’ll discover sits halfway between the Parc Naturel Régional Livradois-Forez and that of the Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat 🌳. Veauche is situated in the Forez, a natural and historical region made up of a vast plain crossed by the Loire river and surrounded by mountains ⛰️.
From now on, you know what to expect when you arrive on site 🥰. All that’s left is to choose from the three distances planned by the event organizers: 6 km, 11 km or 21 km ! 🏃♀️ There are also races for the youngsters 📅. This merry crew of runners is invited to discover the gentle reliefs of the Forez and the trails through fields… 🌿 To illustrate the softness of this trail, there are only 314 mD+ on the 21 km, 95 mD+ on the 11 km and no elevation gain on the short distance 😁. A perfect chance to discover the trail discipline? Yes! You’ll explore the worlds between Veauche, Saint-Bonnet-les-Oules and Saint-Héand. The courses are mainly made up of paths 🤌.
Once you’ve run this trail, you’ll still have plenty to discover or taste before getting back to your daily life 😉. As you’ve already seen, the Loire is a preserved department focused on nature. The Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat
