Le Giants Head Marathon Weekend, événement primé et l'un des plus réputés de Grande-Bretagne dans le domaine de la course à pied. Chaque année, le village de Sydling St Nicholas devient un lieu animé pour les coureurs et leurs familles, grâce à sa communauté chaleureuse et accueillante. Le week-end offre des activités pour tous les goûts : le marathon et le 10 km le samedi, suivis d'un bal festif dans la salle des fêtes du village, et le dimanche, le semi-marathon et la LittleFeet Bell Race, une course ludique où les coureurs, y compris les enfants, dévalent une colline en faisant tinter une cloche, pour une touche alpine amusante. Les parcours sont difficiles, avec des montées raides et des descentes abruptes à travers les magnifiques vallées de Sydling et Cerne, mais la vue vaut chaque effort. Des repas copieux sont proposés dans le village le vendredi et le samedi soir.
