About this event
Meet in the Grand Est region, in Mulhouse, for a 12.6 km urban trail that blends downtown and nature with stairs, bike lanes, sidewalks, and trails. The start is from the Pierre et Marie Curie pool and the finish in front of the former Town Hall, on Place de la Réunion, before climbing the town hall stairs. Festive atmosphere, music, and surprises pace this Grand Mulhouse Urban Trail, in October.
You’re invited to the Grand-Est region, in the Haut-Rhin department, for an exceptional race in the city of Mulhouse. In October, the Grand Mulhouse Urban Trail will test your legs, weaving through passages shaped by real urban relief and a certain technical challenge, just as you’d find in the heart of nature! Here, downtown and countryside merge, with stairs and paths at every turn. 🏙
It’s a **12.6 km** route you’re about to conquer for this Mulhouse trail. This race offers a city-centered course starting from the Pierre et Marie Curie swimming pooland finishing in front of theold City Hall, on the Place de la Réunion, with its buildings featuring colorful façades. You’ll see every color and surface: stairs, bike lanes, sidewalks, streets, bridges, and even trails. The Sainte Odile Church will loom before you before you reach the first challenge. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! The 150 steps on rue de la Brasserie and their incline of 15% will dip into your reserves. You’ll also pass through the Tannenwald forest 🌳 before returning to the city via pedestrian-only paths, from the northern entrance of the zooto the train station. The finish won’t be without chills because before you can call yourself king of runners, you’ll climb and descend the steps of the town hall! Okay, not exactly the Cannes red carpet, but it’s still impressive 😉. This race will push your whole body—from eyes to calves to heart—so you’ll need to brace yourself to explore the city’s nooks and crannies. To help you power through, expect a festive, friendly atmosphere with music and plenty of other surprises. It’s an event full of surprises that the organizers have cooked up for you. It would be a shame to be out of breath and not enjoy this urban trail in Mulhouse! 😊
You’re probably thinking that after running, there’s nothing left to do here, that you’ve seen it all... And you’re wrong! The city is bursting with museumsand its heritage remains just as fascinating. If you love cars (even if you don’t), you must absolutely visit the National Automobile Museum, which showcases no less than 500 prestigious models. If you crave even more speed, the city houses the largest rail museum in Europe, the Train City 🚂. You can also bike along the Rhône-Rhine Canal, straight toward Brunstatt. You’ll feel like a curious beast among cows as you ride through fields and meadows on Mulhouse’s outskirts, toward the periphery of Mulhouse, heading toward Rebberg and the Belvédère). And to recover from your feats, you can try the Fleischschnackas or the famous choucroute (maybe not the most “healthy” option, but delicious nonetheless! 😋). You won’t miss out on gastronomy in Alsace. 🥬
At Mul-HOUSE, you’ll feel right at home! 🏠😉
PS: Special edition this year... The organizers pay tribute to Gérard Mergy, who left us in December. This former race director since its inception was a true sports enthusiast and a running lover. Gérard was an outstanding race organizer. ✨
