This famous Corneille adage fits perfectly with GTN (yes, that's its nickname 😉), which in just a few editions has earned a solid reputation within the running community 💪. The event is set for trail lovers in Liévin, Pas-de-Calais, for this very special race! Rich in parcours variety, natural and historical heritage, and atmosphere: in this night trail, everything’s there... All at affordable prices! What else like dirait Clooney? What would the people want, as grandpa would say? The Grand Trail Nocturne des Hauts de France takes place early November (let’s be honest, it does smell of the season’s humidity…) and it sets you in the splendid surroundings of the Artois hills, renowned, in particular, for their iconic slag heaps. But hey Jamy, can you tell me more about the Artois hills? Well, it’s a natural plateau formed by hills (as the name suggests), located at 100 m above sea level, characterized by beautiful green valleys. True nature! 😍

You’ve barely finished the introduction, and you already want to know everything about this race! Alright, since you’re being nice, we’ll reveal it all here! First, know that it’s a semi-night trail... You’ll start in daytime, you’ll finish at night ! What a colorful experience. During this beautiful October trail, you’ll breathe in the fantastic coolness of the forest , climbing endless hills, discovering monuments along the different courses... Once the start is taken in the magnificent Arenas indoor stadium of Liévin, the discoveries are yours! And whatever course you choose: Trail 9.5 km, 16 km, 26 km, 33 km and 61 km or Walks 16 km and 33 km. More details on each course below in “To each their distance”... Alone, with the love of your life, with the kids, with parents, grandparents, friends, or colleagues... Everyone will find a perfect fit for a super good time. One thing is certain. This night run lets you travel through time. Those who have the privilege to run (or walk with the hike) can appreciate the richness of the route in terms of heritage. And it’s true that French heritage is beautiful. Cocorico (we’re just a little chauvinistic).

Attention, the organizing team and the many volunteers will offer you a memorable experience. GTNH is already a sought-after rendezvous... Moreover, the number of registered runners is limited: first come, first served! If you are licensed with the Hauts-de-France League, registration is free. Nice 😍 right?

Before or after the race (we do recommend after the race), you’ll be able to sit down and indulge your desires. Why not at the magical Tableaux des Fées 🧚‍♀️, with the Dolmen de Fresnicourt ? There’s no shortage of culinary heritage in the Hauts-de-France. We recommend a beer-soaked chicken if you’ve never tasted this wonder. After a good meal, go explore the region. On the menu: a stroll in the Olhain National Forest, a visit to the remnants of the Mont Saint Eloi Abbey, the Notre Dame de Lorette hill and its history, or the ascent the twin slag heaps of Loos-en-Gohelle (promised no spelling mistakes 😊). You’ll have understood, the GTNH Night Trail deepens your knowledge of French multiculturalism even further.
